Missouri Car Insurance Basics 

Missouri state requires drivers to carry minimal insurance of "25/50/10."  The breakdown of this insurance is as follows:

• $25,000 bodily injury insurance for one person in an accident.
• $50,000 bodily injury for other persons in any one accident.
• $10,000 for damage and/or destruction of property.

Missouri state also requires uninsured/underinsured motorist bodily injury coverage in the amount of 25/50.  The state also follows a Tort System, meaning that one driver must be found responsbile for a collision, and that individual and their insurance provider is responsible for all damages.
